The President
of COGAMI, Mr.Anxo Queiruga Vila, is now the new president of COCEMFE, the statewide confederation of disability federations.
Mr. Queiruga was elected during the general assembly by a majority of votes.
COCEMFE represents a coalition of 1600 entities which includes people with
physical, mental or chronic illness problems. The Spanish Federation of
Lymphedema Associations (FEDERAL), forms part and is a joint member of COCEMFE. The new
president is committed, amongst other issues, to the gradual disappearance of
the copayment law, and supports for the vulnerable groups, as may be people
with low incomes or people with rare diseases, and intends improving the national
orthoprotesic catalog and enhancing training and employment of caregivers.
